I started off 2006 with a bang but ended January with a fizzle. It seems that keeping up a blog while holding down a full-time job, starting two companies, getting ready for ERE, co-authoring an article for ERE's Corporate Recruiting Leadership Journal, advising a couple of start-ups and writing a book is harder than I thought. Or maybe it's just that I need an excuse to make myself feel better about letting you down, gentle reader. I leave it to Canadian Headhunter to tell me the truth.
So let's see if I can get back on the ball tomorrow with a post around "It's all about talent." That phrase has been bugging me lately. Maybe its all about the system. Or maybe what we mean by "talent" is wrong, so the phrase lacks meaning. Or maybe that's a convenient way for hiring managers to hang recruiters out to dry. Or a way for CEOs to seem like they "get it" when its really "all about the cash."
Eventually I'll get back to posting on Strategic HR. There are still lots of great comments to review. But once you get out of the habit of keeping up your blog you need a topic that drives you nuts to get you back on.
Thanks for your patience.

You'll bounce back with some great posts - you always do.
Looking forward to seeing you in San Diego!
